Upgrading the Harbrace After Nearly 30 Years of Use

For the last 29ish years I’ve been using the Eleventh Edition of the Hodges’ Harbrace College Handbook. This has kept me in safe ground as far as citations go but it doesn’t reflect any of the newer media – like websites and whatnot. A few years ago I found the MLA STYLE GUIDE online and I’ve been using it, but yesterday I found the 17th edition of the Harbrace and picked it up for $4.

This new-to-me Harbrace is in much better condition than my older one, though it is still a few years behind (having been published in 2010). The nice thing is that it brings me closer to modern grammar usage even though I won’t be perfect.

It’s a geeky thing to be excited about but you’re reading a role-playing game blog so get over it.
