Last time we looked at the actual size of the Baklunish and Suel empires (see Where were the Suel and Baklunish Empires Located? for more); and this time I would like to look at the migration routes of the two empires as they moved east. Using the empire maps I created last time and the migration map from the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer (pg 4) I created the following:

Now there are a couple of reasons that I did this. First, and foremost, I like being able to see clearly where each group went. While the original map showed their migratory routes I tended to glaze over which went where and occasionally ended up flipping who was in each group. By coloring their routes this issue was alleviated. The second reason why I did this was it allowed me to see where their ruins might be located as they moved across the eastern continent.
It’s that second concern – ruins – that really occupies my imagination. Being able to describe which ruins my players are likely to encounter as they move their way around the Nyr Dyv is something that I really find useful for my own games as I tend to have people in and around Dyvers on a regular basis so being able to drop in Suel ruins around them is a really good thing for my games.
The question then becomes: what do these ruins actually look like?
